Return & Refund Policy

At Scrap Happy Fabrics, we carefully curate and package each product with love and attention to detail. Please review our policy below based on your purchase type.

Subscription Box Returns

Because our fabric scrap boxes are mystery curations and fabric is cut to size specifically for each shipment, we do not accept returns or exchanges on subscription boxes.

Our Commitment to Quality

We stand behind the quality of every box we send. If your subscription box arrives with any of the following issues, please contact us within 7 days of delivery:

  • Incomplete shipment: Your box is missing items or weighs significantly less than the promised half pound of fabric
  • Damaged items: Fabrics arrive damaged due to shipping (stained, torn, or otherwise unusable)
  • Shipping errors: You received someone else's box or an incorrect shipment

In these cases, we will work with you to make it right by providing a refund or sending replacement fabric at no additional cost.

What We Cannot Accept Returns For (Subscription Boxes)

Due to the nature of our mystery subscription boxes, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds for:

  • Personal preference or color/pattern choices (part of the mystery box experience!)
  • Change of mind after opening the box
  • Fabric pieces that are smaller or larger than expected (our boxes contain a variety of sizes)
  • General dissatisfaction with the curated selection

Non-Subscription Product Returns

For individual fabric purchases, patterns, notions, or other non-subscription items, we accept returns within 14 days of delivery under the following conditions:

Eligible for Return:

  • Item arrived damaged or defective
  • Wrong item was shipped
  • Item significantly different from description
  • Unopened, unused items in original condition

Return Requirements:

  • Item must be unused and in its original condition
  • Original packaging must be intact when possible
  • Fabric must be uncut and unwashed
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs (unless we shipped the wrong item or item arrived damaged)
  • Returns must be initiated within 14 days of delivery

Not Eligible for Return:

  • Cut fabric or fabric that has been washed
  • Items marked as "final sale" or "clearance"
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Change of mind after cutting/using the product

Return Process for Non-Subscription Items:

  1. Contact us first: Email us at hello@scraphappyfabrics.com with your order number and reason for return
  2. Receive authorization: Wait for our return authorization and instructions before shipping anything back
  3. Ship the item: Pack securely and ship to the address we provide. You are responsible for return shipping costs and we recommend using a trackable shipping method
  4. Refund processing: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we'll process your refund within 5-7 business days to your original payment method

Please note: Shipping costs are non-refundable except in cases where we made an error.

Subscription Cancellations

You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time before your next billing cycle. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your next scheduled shipment date. Already-shipped boxes are not eligible for refund.

For gifted subscriptions (3, 6, or 12-month prepaid), cancellations are not available, but the recipient may pause their subscription for up to 3 months if needed.
